Distribution & Warehousing

About Distribution & Warehousing Service

Dynamic Worldwide integrates a host of transportation, consolidation, distribution, and warehousing services specialized to the unique demands of the fashion and retail industry.

Our focus is to expedite the movement of products through the supply chain and into customers’ hands as cost-effectively as possible. With over three million square feet of space in the U.S. and offices in China, we are an industry leader and one of the largest garment-on-hanger facilities in North America. Our warehousing and distribution facilities are flexible and expandable to handle the seasonal fluctuation of products. This enables us to lower our clients’ logistics costs by eliminating the need for owning warehousing and distribution space. Our Distribution Centers (DC’s) are multi-tiered fully fitted for rapid product movement. Products are scanned and verified, sorted by style, color and size and are subject to “best practice” inventory controls. Hanging garment deliveries arrive “store-ready.” SKU verification, scanning re-labeling, re-packing, barcoding labeling and compliance labeling are provided as required by our customers. Our IT team supports a sophisticated warehouse management system designed specifically for multi-facility, multi-client, third-party logistics operations. This system is driven by either proprietary and/or GS1US/VICS/EDI feeds from a customer’s host system.

With an impressive array of value-added services tailored to the apparel industry, including pressing, repair, re-ticketing, re-bagging and security attachments, Dynamic understands that there are higher requirements for the fashion industry than simply shipping products to stores. With integrated distribution center bypass, consolidation, international freight forwarding and transportation services, Dynamic is uniquely able to handle the important and emergent situations and logistics demands that are the key to success in today’s global marketplace.

Services tailored to your needs

Our transload service offers a swift and sound transition from the pier to one of our facilities, where shipments are scanned in and visibility is immediate due to the integration of our IT systems between Dynamic and our customers. Whether or not the freight at hand is to be put among standing inventory or sent right onto an outbound trailer, we can track cartons by the P.O. and even down to the carton due to the scanning of GS1/UCC128 labels. The transparency of inventory is a gift from our integrated IT systems that ensure for another level of checks to keep integrity during the process.

In the past twenty years, Dynamic has become one of the most automated 3PLs in the country. This has benefited our ability to strip, scan and sort thousands of cartons per hour with unprecedented accuracy. We have three main hubs that run consolidations for major retailers that require we have a turnaround time of 24-hours per given inbound load. A true cross dock, takes a carton, sorts it and then sends it right to its specified out bound trailer. With our sortation systems, these cartons are in our warehouse for maybe one-minute and never touch the floor – unless there is a damaged carton or label. We have three facilities with which all have their own unique set of sortation systems that scan and ship to an outbound trailer just minutes after they have been inducted onto our sorter. Please take a look in our Automation section in our Services to see more about each sorter. The sorters we use for our consolidation/cross dock services are our Narrow belt sorter, Tilt Tray sorter and Shoe Sorter.

Dynamic offers comprehensive pick and pack services. Whether D2C, wholesale fulfillment to a retail store or store replenishment. Each order is processed through our advanced wave pick system to maximize efficiency. Inventory is located in forwarding pick locations for efficient picking, checking, scanning and packing. Completed orders are located on RFID movable units for fast and efficient loading for outbound carriers. Products are identified by EAN/UPC or SKU and inventoried at a style/model, color, and fabric and size level. Our specialized GOH racking systems in our buildings allow for immense individual orders to be picked and packed with all VAS services handled in house, so garments are ready to go when they reach their destination.
Value-added services include:

  • Kitting, Assortment assembly, price ticketing, hanger changes, quality inspection, sewing/repairs, tailoring, dry cleaning, and pressing,
  • Which are provided as needed to ensure that products are shipped in perfect condition ready for the sales floor.
Having seen the writing on the wall, we have been operating our ECOM and Dropship programs for nearly two-decades. Now, with our added technology and IT systems, we have it down to a science. Our added in Bombay sorter allows for us to do high volume drop ship orders from the major retailers by doing bulk picks. Our GOH sorter allows for the same process without picking from the GOH racks. This automates takes the laborious task of trekking into our GOH racking system or carton racks (in case of the Bombay) to individually pick the items by hand. The Bombay sorter drops the correct SKUs for each order into a tote which, when the order is completed, will be scanned, closed and push onto the conveyor to be sent to get a packing slip, label and off to the packing station where it will be finalized for its designated Out bound trailer. Please take a look in our Automation section in services to take a closer look at our Bombay Sorter.
Through our vast delivery network, we have become one of the most reliable service providers on both the regional and local levels, where we conduct both supply and replenishment services daily. In addition, we have an integrated recycling program for hangers, corrugated and packing materials. The sorter in the hub of our trucking/distribution operation has four induction lanes and sixteen down/outbound lanes where we are able to build pallets per order to the store for next day shipments. To get ready for our store deliveries and OMS programs, when inducted onto our sorter each carton is scanned into our system with a pre-designated route per the order of the store. Then its carton is sent to its outbound lane to be palletized. Each route has a scanner that is uploaded via our system so the drivers can track down to the carton level. These orders are pulled manually right from our racks for next day replenishment. This is all made possible by our integrated IT systems that give Dynamic and our customers complete visibility of their current inventory and what is available to them in our warehouse.

Dynamic Worldwide has been serving the logistics needs of retailers and consumer product manufacturers for more than 50 years.
